This website is built to process as little personal data as possible:

No cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools, no advertising.
No embedded third-party content (no videos, maps or social media elements) and no external fonts or content delivery networks. All files are loaded from the site's own server.
Links to external sources (for example PubMed, EFSA, YouTube) are only opened when you click them. The privacy policies of the respective providers then apply.
If you actively switch dark mode, or select a country, a country of origin or a food and click “Apply”, only this setting (e.g. “dark” or a country code such as “DE”) is stored in your browser's local storage so that it is kept on your next visit. If a selection is only passed via a shared link (URL parameters), nothing is stored. This storage happens only upon your action, is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG) and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

According to the archive, the rights belong to Dr. Elawady and his heirs. Complete texts, food lists, images or videos of the archive are not reproduced.
Translations of quotations are by the project and are marked as such. The Arabic wording is authoritative.
No photos of people and no images from the archive or YouTube are used.
Titles, authors and bibliographic data of scientific publications are given for reference. Summaries and assessments of the studies are the project's own texts.
The archive's robots.txt file contains a reservation against AI training (content signal “ai-train=no”). Archive content was accessed for this project only for verification and for sourced quotations, not for training AI models. The legal classification of these retrievals (§§ 44b, 60d UrhG) must be checked before publication.
On 3 May 2026, Egypt's Supreme Council for Media Regulation ordered that content by Dr. Elawady no longer be circulated (according to press reports). Whether and how this affects short, critically contextualised quotations on a website operated in Germany and also accessible in Arabic must be legally checked before publication.

This website links to third-party content, in particular scientific databases, authorities and the archive eltayebat.com. The respective providers are responsible for their content. If illegal content becomes known, the link will be removed.
