Evaluación científica
Falso – La afirmación contradice la evidencia sólida.
Certeza de la evidencia: moderada – Nuevas investigaciones aún pueden influir en la evaluación.
1. ¿Qué se afirmó?
The diet treats or controls cancer.
2. ¿Qué es demostrablemente correcto?
Nutrition matters during cancer (e.g., preventing malnutrition) and healthy weight lowers some cancer risks; using a diet alongside treatment is not by itself harmful (I-CHM-04 shows risk was mediated by refusal).
3. ¿Qué es erróneo o exagerado?
No evidence that the Tayebat diet shrinks or cures cancer; testimonies in the videos are unverifiable and often involve prior surgery or chemotherapy. Alternative-only management of curable cancers was associated with HR 2.50 for death (I-CHM-03). In patients who were eventually treated, each 4-week delay within the studied range of about 4-16 weeks was associated with 6-13% higher mortality for many indications (observational; I-CHM-07); the longer delays of trying a diet first were not studied, and the authors warn against extrapolating beyond 16 weeks.
4. ¿Qué sigue sin estar claro?
Long-term outcomes of the patients presented in the videos.
5. ¿Qué estudios lo respaldan?
None for diet as treatment. In a randomised trial, a low-fat diet added to conventional treatment after breast cancer surgery was associated with somewhat fewer relapses (9.8% vs 12.4%; HR 0.76, borderline; I-CAN-131). A small randomised trial of a supervised ketogenic diet added to chemotherapy for metastatic pancreatic cancer showed non-significant trends toward longer survival (I-CAN-125); ketogenic diets alongside standard care improved some metabolic and symptom measures (I-CAN-103); CAM combined with full treatment was not associated with higher mortality in GI cancers (I-CAN-102). None of this supports replacing or delaying treatment. The registry 'CAM' studies capture non-medical alternative treatment rather than supportive complementary care (I-CAN-128).
6. ¿Qué estudios lo contradicen?
I-CHM-03, I-CHM-04, I-CHM-07, I-CAN-101 (breast cancer, CAM alone AHR 3.67), I-CAN-102 (GI cancers, CAM alone aHR 1.86), I-CAN-129 (refusal of colon cancer surgery, HR 3.41), I-CAN-104 (ketogenic-diet RCTs: insufficient evidence), I-CAN-105 (ASCO: diet evidence very limited), I-CAN-106 (NCI: no diet proven to control cancer).
7. ¿Qué se aplica a Alemania y Europa?
Not region-specific; the evidence on the harms of replacing or delaying cancer treatment (I-CHM-03, I-CHM-04, I-CHM-07) applies equally in Germany and Europe.
8. ¿Qué se sabe sobre Egipto?
Not region-specific; the same risks apply. The videos address mainly Egyptian and Arab patients, so the claim is practically relevant there.
9. ¿Qué conclusión práctica es adecuada?
Una dieta puede comentarse con el equipo de oncología como cuidado de apoyo, nunca como sustituto.
Detalles de la evaluación
- Justificación de la certeza de la evidencia
No clinical study of the Tayebat system in cancer exists (none found); indirect but consistent evidence shows excess mortality when diet/alternative approaches replace treatment. Certainty is moderate because the evidence on this specific diet is indirect.

¿Qué dice el conjunto de la evidencia?
Evaluación editorial basada en los estudios anteriores; no es en sí un resultado de un estudio.
¿Qué posición está mejor respaldada?
Diet is not a treatment for cancer; replacing or delaying standard treatment with a diet or other alternatives is associated with markedly higher mortality.
Por qué algunos estudios tienen más peso
Survival data on replacement or refusal of treatment (I-CHM-03, I-CAN-101, I-CAN-102, I-CHM-04, I-CAN-129) weigh most because they address the decision the claim recommends; they come from one registry (NCDB) and partly overlap, so they count as one replicated source; a 2026 critique (I-CAN-128) shows that the NCDB variable captures registry-coded non-medical alternative treatment (not supportive complementary care) and that some analytic details are unclear, which limits the size estimates but not the direction, and it explicitly affirms the concern about replacing treatment. Randomised trials of diets added to standard treatment (I-CAN-131 low-fat diet, borderline fewer relapses; I-CAN-125 ketogenic diet, unconfirmed trend) are the fair 'supporting' side: nutrition may help alongside treatment, which is the opposite of the claim's practical advice. RCT-level diet evidence (I-CAN-104) and the ASCO guideline (I-CAN-105) show no diet has proven cancer control. Ketogenic-diet data (I-CAN-103) concern adjunct use and surrogate outcomes.
¿Está demostrada una relación causal? Probable Randomising patients to forgo curative treatment would be unethical; large, consistent adjusted hazard ratios across cancers, a dose-like gradient (no treatment ~ CAM alone > partial > full treatment) and the known efficacy of standard treatment from RCTs (I-CHM-01, I-CHM-05) make a causal harm probable.
Incertidumbre restante
No study of the Tayebat system itself; NCDB misclassification; effect of diets used strictly as adjuncts.
Conclusión justificada
This claim is false: no diet, including the Tayebat system, has been shown to treat cancer, and using it instead of or before standard treatment is associated with substantially higher mortality.
¿Por qué parecen contradecirse los estudios?
Apparent conflict between ketogenic-diet meta-analyses (I-CAN-103 positive, I-CAN-104 largely null) reflects different inclusion criteria (non-randomised vs RCT-only) and surrogate endpoints; neither addresses replacement of treatment. NCDB studies agree (Johnson 2018, Ayoade 2026, Ekenze 2026) but share one database. Ekenze found no excess mortality with CAM combined with treatment in GI cancers, whereas Ayoade found excess mortality in breast cancer, apparently because combination users skipped radiation and endocrine therapy - both support the same conclusion: harm arises from forgoing treatment. Jeitler 2026 (I-CAN-128) criticises the NCDB studies for construct validity, immortal-time handling and missing tumour-biology adjustment; this weakens precise effect sizes and any inference about supportive complementary care, but not the conclusion about replacing treatment. The positive trend in I-CAN-125 concerns a diet added to chemotherapy and therefore does not conflict with the harm of replacing treatment.

Recomprobación estadística
- CI log-symmetry of AHRs; unadjusted absolute survival difference; stage confounding – AHR CIs symmetric (ratio 0.99); unadjusted 5-y OS difference 25.3 points, partly confounded by stage (31.8% vs 18.1% stage III-IV); adjusted absolute risks not reported, NNH not derivable. recalculado
- CI log-symmetry; size of exposed group – Symmetric; CAM-only 0.013% of cohort -> imprecise estimate. recalculado
- CI symmetry; absolute risk; robustness – HR CI symmetric; crude relapse 9.8% vs 12.4%, ARR 2.5 points, NNT about 39 over ~5 years; log-rank P=.077 vs Cox P=.034 -> fragile. recalculado
- CI symmetry; one-sided vs two-sided testing – Symmetric; two-sided p about 0.18/0.21 from the CIs; one-sided alpha 0.20 screening design -> no confirmed effect. recalculado
- CI log-symmetry – Reported CI 3.12-3.60 asymmetric around 3.41 (ratio 0.61); possible reporting/rounding error, not resolvable from the abstract; Medicaid OR upper limit 43.77 implausible (not used). recalculado
- Independence of NCDB cohorts – Johnson, Ayoade and Ekenze share the NCDB with 3-4 overlapping diagnosis years -> counted as one replicated data source. recalculado

Unchanged. New 2026 registry studies (I-CAN-101, I-CAN-102) replicate the earlier finding in larger and more recent cohorts, and guidelines (I-CAN-105, I-CAN-106) confirm that no diet is proven to control cancer. Certainty stays moderate because all data on the specific diet are indirect and the cohorts share one registry.
